Understanding Your App Plan
uShopAid offers a Free Plan and several paid plans. All plans include access to all uShopAid features and Bundle types.
The main differences between the plans include:
- The Bundle Revenue allowance available during each billing cycle
- The monthly subscription price
The Free Plan allows you to create up to 5 Bundles. If you need to create more than 5 Bundles, you will need to upgrade to a paid plan.
This guide explains the available uShopAid plans, how Bundle Revenue is calculated, and what happens when you reach your plan limits.

All prices are in USD. App subscription approval, billing, and billing-cycle adjustments are managed by Shopify.
What is Bundle Revenue?
Bundle Revenue is the order revenue generated through Bundles created with uShopAid.
It is not your store’s total Shopify revenue. Regular product orders that are not placed through a uShopAid Bundle are not included in your Bundle Revenue.
For example:
- Your store generates $2,000 in total sales during the current billing cycle.
- Of that amount, $400 comes from uShopAid Bundles.
- Your Bundle Revenue is $400.
In this example, the store remains eligible for the Free Plan’s $500 Bundle Revenue allowance as long as the account contains no more than 5 Bundles.
How is Bundle Revenue calculated?
Bundle Revenue is calculated according to your current app billing cycle.
A Shopify app billing cycle is usually 30 days, but it may not match a calendar month.
For example, if your billing cycle begins on July 10, Bundle Revenue will be calculated from July 10 until the next billing cycle begins.
Your Bundle Revenue usage is recalculated at the beginning of each new billing cycle.
What happens when I reach the Bundle Revenue limit?
If your Bundle Revenue reaches the allowance included in your current plan, you must upgrade to a plan with a higher allowance to continue using your existing Bundles.
If you do not upgrade, the Bundles created through uShopAid will automatically become inactive.
After you upgrade to an eligible plan, the affected Bundles will automatically become active again.
For example, if you are using the Free Plan and your Bundle Revenue reaches $500 during the current billing cycle, you must upgrade to a paid plan to continue receiving orders through your Bundles.
Before you reach the limit, uShopAid may:
- Send an upgrade reminder by email
- Display an upgrade notification when you open the app
How does the Free Plan’s 5-Bundle limit work?
The Free Plan allows you to create up to 5 Bundles.
After you have created 5 Bundles, you cannot create a sixth Bundle while remaining on the Free Plan. Reaching the Bundle limit alone does not affect the existing 5 Bundles.
If you need to create additional Bundles, you can:
- Delete Bundles that you no longer need
- Upgrade to any paid plan
Paid plans are suitable for merchants who need to create and manage more than 5 Bundles.
The Bundle count limit and Bundle Revenue limit are separate usage conditions. To continue using the Free Plan normally, your account must meet both of the following requirements:
- The total number of Bundles must not exceed 5
- Bundle Revenue must not exceed $500 during each billing cycle
How to check your current plan and usage
You can check your current plan and Bundle Revenue usage inside the uShopAid app.
- Open uShopAid from your Shopify admin.
- Go to the plan or pricing page.
- Check your current plan.
- Review your Bundle Revenue usage for the current billing cycle.
- Select another plan if you need a higher allowance.
uShopAid may also display an upgrade reminder when your Bundle Revenue approaches your current plan’s limit.
Upgrading your plan
Your new plan takes effect immediately after you upgrade.
For example, if you upgrade from the $9.99/month Basic Plan to the $19.99/month Standard Plan, Shopify will calculate the appropriate subscription adjustment based on the remaining time in your current billing cycle.
uShopAid does not directly calculate or collect app subscription charges. App subscriptions, prorated charges, and billing are managed by Shopify.
After upgrading to a higher plan:
- The new Bundle Revenue allowance takes effect immediately
- You can create and manage more than 5 Bundles
- Bundles deactivated because of the Bundle Revenue limit are automatically reactivated
- Creation or editing restrictions caused by the Free Plan’s 5-Bundle limit are removed
Downgrading your plan
Under Shopify’s app subscription rules, a plan downgrade usually takes effect at the beginning of the next billing cycle.
Before downgrading, make sure your current Bundle Revenue and number of Bundles meet the usage conditions of the lower plan.
Why does my previous plan still appear after downgrading?
A plan downgrade does not take effect immediately.
After you select a lower plan, Shopify schedules the change to take effect at the beginning of your next app billing cycle. Until the current billing cycle ends, uShopAid will continue to display your previous plan, and you can continue using the allowance included with that plan.
For example, if you downgrade from the Standard Plan to the Free Plan:
- The Standard Plan remains active until the current billing cycle ends
- The Free Plan automatically takes effect when the next billing cycle begins
- You do not need to submit the downgrade again
This is normal and does not mean that the downgrade failed.
Plan changes and app billing cycles are managed by Shopify. You can check the effective date of the downgrade on the plan confirmation page or in your Shopify app subscription details.
Downgrading from a paid plan to the Free Plan
When you downgrade from a paid plan to the Free Plan, uShopAid keeps all the Bundles you have already created. They are not automatically deleted.
If your account contains fewer than 5 Bundles, you can continue creating and editing Bundles normally. If your account contains exactly 5 Bundles, you can edit existing Bundles, but you cannot create another Bundle.
If your account contains more than 5 Bundles:
- Your existing Bundles are retained
- You cannot edit existing Bundles
- You cannot create new Bundles
- You must reduce the total number of Bundles to 5 or fewer
After the total number of Bundles in your account is reduced to 5 or fewer, you can create and edit Bundles normally under the Free Plan again.
Before downgrading to the Free Plan, review your existing Bundles and keep only the 5 Bundles you still need.Your Bundle Revenue must also remain within the Free Plan allowance of up to $500 per billing cycle.
Test orders
Test orders are not included in your Bundle Revenue.
To test the purchasing process for a Bundle:
- Add a Bundle created with uShopAid to the cart.
- Proceed to checkout.
- Enter the following text in the recipient’s Last name field:
ushopaid_test
- Complete the order.

The order will be recognized as a test order and will not be included in your Bundle Revenue.
You can create test orders:
- While using the Free Plan
- After subscribing to a paid plan
Frequently asked questions
Can I use uShopAid for free?
Yes. uShopAid offers a Free Plan with no monthly subscription fee.
The Free Plan includes:
- Access to all uShopAid features and Bundle types
- Up to 5 Bundles
- Up to $500 in Bundle Revenue per billing cycle
Can I use all features on the Free Plan?
Yes.
The Free Plan provides access to all uShopAid features and Bundle types, including:
- Product Bundle
- Volume Discount Bundle
- Classic Bundle
- Mix & Match Bundle
The Free Plan has a lower Bundle Revenue allowance and allows you to create up to 5 Bundles. Paid plans provide higher Bundle Revenue allowances and support merchants who need to create and manage more than 5 Bundles.
How many Bundles can I create on the Free Plan?
You can create up to 5 Bundles.
After reaching 5 Bundles, you cannot create a sixth Bundle. You can delete a Bundle you no longer need or upgrade to a paid plan.
Do inactive Bundles count toward the 5-Bundle limit?
Yes.
The Free Plan limit is based on the total number of Bundles created in your account, not only the Bundles that are currently active.
If you no longer need a Bundle, delete it to reduce the total number of Bundles in your account.
Does Bundle Revenue include all Shopify orders?
No.
Only revenue from orders placed through Bundles created with uShopAid is included in Bundle Revenue. Regular product orders that are not placed through a uShopAid Bundle are not included.
When is Bundle Revenue recalculated?
Bundle Revenue is recalculated at the beginning of each new app billing cycle.
A Shopify app billing cycle is usually 30 days, but it may not match a calendar month.
What happens to my Bundles when I reach the Bundle Revenue limit?
Your Bundles are not deleted.
However, if your Bundle Revenue reaches the allowance included in your current plan and you do not upgrade, the Bundles will automatically become inactive.
After you upgrade to an eligible plan, the affected Bundles will automatically become active again.
Are test orders included in Bundle Revenue?
No.
If you enter ushopaid_test in the recipient’s Last name field during checkout, the order will be recognized as a test order and will not be included in Bundle Revenue.
Will my Bundles be deleted after I downgrade to the Free Plan?
No.
uShopAid keeps your existing Bundles. However, if your account contains more than 5 Bundles, you cannot edit existing Bundles or create new ones.
After reducing the total number of Bundles to 5 or fewer, you can create and edit Bundles normally again.
Why does my previous plan still appear after downgrading?
A plan downgrade usually takes effect at the beginning of the next app billing cycle rather than immediately.
Until the current billing cycle ends, your previous plan remains active and may continue to appear in uShopAid. The lower plan will automatically take effect when the next billing cycle begins. You do not need to submit the downgrade again.
Which plan should I choose?
Choose a plan primarily according to your expected Bundle Revenue during each billing cycle:
- Free: Up to $500
- Basic: Up to $1,000
- Standard: Up to $3,000
- Pro: Up to $10,000
- Premium: Unlimited Bundle Revenue
If your Bundle Revenue is approaching your current plan’s allowance, we recommend upgrading in advance to avoid interruptions to active Bundle offers on your storefront.
