How to Use Mix & Match Bundle “As One Item” in a Multi-Market Store
When As one item is enabled, the products selected by the customer are added to the cart and checkout as one combined bundle item instead of multiple separate products.
If your Shopify store uses multiple markets and the same products have different prices in each market, you should create a separate Mix & Match Bundle for each market when using As one item.
This guide applies to bundles created with the Mix & Match Bundle Editor and configured to use As one item.
Why do multi-market stores need separate bundles?
In a multi-market store, the same product may have a different fixed price in each market.
For example:
Market | Product price |
|---|---|
Australia | AU$30 |
Hong Kong SAR | HK$120 |
United States | US$20 |
These prices may be configured independently for each market instead of being calculated through currency conversion. | |
When As one item is used, the bundle is added to the cart as one combined item. To ensure that each market uses the correct bundle price, discount, and currency settings, we recommend creating a separate bundle for each market. |
When should you create a separate bundle for each market?
Create separate Mix & Match Bundles when all or most of the following apply:
- Your store uses multiple Shopify Markets
- The same products have different prices in different markets
- Different markets may use different currencies
- You want to use As one item
- You need accurate bundle pricing and discounts in each market
For example:
- Australia Bundle: AU$199
- Hong Kong SAR Bundle: HK$999
- United States Bundle: US$129
In this situation, one As one item bundle should not be used for every market.
When can you use one bundle for multiple markets?
You may be able to use one bundle when:
- Your store has only one market
- Prices in other markets are generated through currency conversion
- The converted prices are acceptable for your selling strategy
- You do not need independently configured bundle prices for each market
The important factor is not the number of currencies. It is whether each market uses independent pricing.
Recommended setup
Step 1: Create a bundle for each target market
Create a separate Mix & Match Bundle for every market that requires independent pricing.
For example:
Mix & Match Bundle – Australia
Mix & Match Bundle – Hong Kong SAR
Mix & Match Bundle – United States
The bundles can still use the same:
- Template
- Products
- Page layout
- Product card design
- Color theme
- Content structure

Step 2: Select the corresponding market
Open the Bundle Editor and go to:
Discounts → Markets
Select the market that this bundle is intended for.
For example, select:
Australia
for the Australian bundle, or:
Hong Kong SAR
for the Hong Kong bundle.
Select the Shopify Market that corresponds to the current bundle.

Step 3: Configure pricing or discounts for that market
After selecting the market, configure the bundle based on that market’s currency and pricing strategy.
For Single Box or Multi Box, you can configure:
- Box size
- Price
- Compare-at price
- Product price adjustments
- Free gift
- Discount Label
Example:
Australia
Choose any 3 products for AU$199
Another market can use a different price:
Hong Kong SAR
Choose any 3 products for HK$999

For Build a Box or Buy More Save More, you can configure market-specific discount rules such as:
- Percentage off
- Amount off
- Specific price
- Free gift
- Free shipping
- Cheapest item discount
- Most expensive item discount
Amount-based conditions and discount amounts should be configured separately for each local currency.
Step 4: Check Product price adjustments
If selected premium products require an additional charge, review the adjustment amount for every market.
Example:
Australia premium surcharge: +AU$10
Hong Kong SAR premium surcharge: +HK$50
Do not reuse the same numeric amount across markets without checking the local currency and intended price.
Step 5: Enable As one item
Open the relevant bundle setting and enable:
As one item
When enabled, the products selected by the customer will appear as one combined bundle item in the cart and at checkout.

Step 6: Test every market
Before publishing, switch to each market and test the complete purchase flow.
Check that:
- The bundle page displays the correct currency
- Product prices match the current market
- The fixed bundle price is correct
- Discount conditions and amounts are correct
- Premium product surcharges are correct
- The cart total is correct
- Checkout shows the expected amount
- The bundle appears as one item
Do not test only in the primary market.
Example configuration
Suppose your store has two markets.
Australia Bundle
Market: Australia
Currency: AUD
Box size: 3
Price: AU$199
Cart display: As one item
Hong Kong SAR Bundle
Market: Hong Kong SAR
Currency: HKD
Box size: 3
Price: HK$999
Cart display: As one item
These bundles can use the same products and design, while keeping separate market and pricing configurations.
Why should one bundle not be shared across all markets?
If one As one item bundle is used across all markets while those markets have independent pricing, you may see issues such as:
- The bundle page displays a price that does not match the current market
- The bundle uses the primary-market amount
- Currency conversion produces a price different from the merchant’s configured market price
- Premium product surcharges use the wrong amount or currency
- Cart or checkout pricing does not match expectations
Creating a separate bundle for each market makes the relationship between the market, currency, and bundle pricing much clearer.
Alternative option: Use As separate items
If you do not want to maintain a separate bundle for every market, consider using:
As separate items
With this option, the products in the bundle are added to the cart as individual products.
This usually makes it easier to preserve the market-specific product prices configured in Shopify Markets.
However, the cart display is different.
As one item
- Products appear as one combined bundle item
- Suitable for presenting the bundle as one complete set
- Separate bundles are recommended when markets use independent pricing
As separate items
- Products appear separately in the cart
- More likely to use each product’s own market price
- The bundle is not shown as one combined cart item
What happens when customers switch markets?
After creating separate bundles for each market, you must also make sure customers are directed to the bundle that corresponds to their current market.
Creating multiple bundles does not automatically connect their pages or switch one bundle page to another when the customer changes markets.
Depending on your Shopify Markets setup, domain structure, and bundle placement, you may need to configure:
- Market-specific bundle page links
- Market-specific navigation links
- Product page embed display rules
- Automatic redirect logic

Frequently asked questions
Does every multi-market store need multiple bundles?
No.
If other markets use automatic currency conversion and the converted prices are acceptable, one bundle may be enough.
If each market has independent pricing and you want to use As one item, separate bundles are recommended.
Do I need one bundle for every currency?
Not necessarily.
The key factor is whether each market uses independently configured pricing, not simply how many currencies the store supports.
Where do I select the market for a bundle?
In the Bundle Editor, go to:
Discounts → Markets
Then select the corresponding Shopify Market.
Can I select All under Markets?
Yes.
However, if your markets use different independent prices and you also use As one item, selecting All may not provide the exact local pricing required for every market.
In that case, separate market-specific bundles are recommended.
Can market-specific bundles use the same design?
Yes.
They can use the same:
- Template
- Products
- Layout
- Product cards
- Color theme
You mainly need to review:
- Market
- Currency
- Bundle price
- Discount amount
- Product price adjustments
Why do customers still see the original bundle after switching markets?
Creating multiple market-specific bundles does not automatically create a switching relationship between their pages.
You must also configure:
- The correct bundle page for each market
- Market-specific navigation or buttons
- Product page embed display rules
- Or automatic redirect logic
Can I avoid creating multiple bundles?
You can consider using As separate items.
This makes it easier to use each product’s own market price, but the selected products will appear separately in the cart.
Summary
If your store:
- Uses multiple Shopify Markets
- Has independent product or bundle prices in different markets
- Uses Mix & Match Bundle
- Requires As one item
the recommended setup is:
- Create a separate Mix & Match Bundle for each market
- Select the corresponding market under Discounts → Markets
- Configure the local price, discount, and product price adjustments
- Enable As one item
- Test the bundle page, cart, and checkout in every market
- Configure how customers are directed to the correct bundle after switching markets
