Understanding Mix & Match Bundle Pricing, Discounts, and Rewards
uShopAid’s Mix & Match Bundle supports multiple pricing, discount, and reward strategies.
You can create offers such as:
- Tiered discounts that reward customers for adding more products
- Percentage discounts triggered by quantity or Bundle subtotal
- Specific Bundle prices after customers meet a condition
- Free gifts after customers meet a condition
- Free shipping after customers meet a condition
- A fixed-price Box containing a set number of products
- Multiple Boxes with different sizes and prices
- A gift list that lets customers choose their preferred free gifts
These settings do not all belong to the same level.
Before configuring an offer, first determine whether you are using Buy more save more or Single-box / Multi-box, and then configure the corresponding pricing, discounts, and rewards.
1. Choose your Bundle pricing structure
Mix & Match Bundle uses two different pricing and discount systems:
Bundle type | Setup method | Best for |
|---|---|---|
Buy more save more | Discount rules | Creating one or more offers based on product quantity or Bundle subtotal |
Single-box / Multi-box | Box size & price | Offering one or more Boxes with fixed sizes and prices |
Buy more save more
Buy more save more uses Discount rules.
Each Discount rule can contain:
- A Discount type
- A Discount based on setting
- A qualifying threshold
- Required products, optional
- Other combinable benefits, optional
You can create multiple Discount rules and arrange them from the lowest qualifying threshold to the highest.
For example:
- Add 2 products → 10% off
- Add 4 products → 15% off + a free gift
- Add 6 products → 20% off + a free gift + free shipping
Single-box / Multi-box
Single-box and Multi-box use the same Box size & price settings.
The only difference is the number of Boxes offered:
- Single-box provides one Box.
- Multi-box provides multiple Boxes for customers to choose from.
For example:
Single-box:
- Choose any 4 products
- Fixed price: $199
Multi-box:
- 3 products for $59
- 4 products for $119
- 6 products for $139
Each Box can have its own:
- Size
- Price
- Compare-at price
- Fixed free gifts
- Gift quantities
2. How Buy more save more Discount rules work
A complete Discount rule usually contains:
- A Discount type
- A Discount based on setting
- A qualifying threshold
- Required products, optional
- Other combinable benefits, optional
[Insert screenshot: Complete Discount rules panel]

Choose what the rule is based on
Use Discount based on to determine what triggers the rule.
Available options include:
- Quantity — Based on the number of products added to the Bundle
- Bundle subtotal — Based on the subtotal of the products in the Bundle
For example:
- The quantity added to the Bundle is greater than or equal to 3
- The Bundle subtotal is greater than or equal to $100
When customers meet the requirement, the offer configured in that Discount rule becomes available.
3. Discount types supported by Buy more save more
Use Discount type to choose the main offer provided by the rule.
Supported Discount types include:
- Percentage off
- Amount off
- Specific price
- Cheapest item discount
- Most expensive item discount
- Free gift
- Free shipping
Percentage off
Apply a percentage discount to the products in the Bundle.
For example:
- Add 2 products → 10% off
- Add 4 products → 15% off
- Add 6 products → 20% off
Best for:
- Buy more save more campaigns
- Encouraging customers to add more products
- Creating clear tiered offers
Amount off
Subtract a fixed amount from the Bundle price.
For example:
- Add 3 products → $10 off
- Add 5 products → $25 off
- Add 8 products → $50 off
Best for:
- Higher-priced products
- Promotions that emphasize a clear savings amount
- Higher-value Bundles
Specific price
Set the Bundle to a specific price after customers meet the requirement.
For example:
- Add 3 products → Bundle price is $99
- Add 5 products → Bundle price is $149
You can create multiple Discount rules to assign different specific prices to different quantity or subtotal thresholds.
For example:
- Add 3 products → $99
- Add 6 products → $179
- Add 10 products → $249
Cheapest item discount
Apply a discount to the lowest-priced product in the current Bundle.
For example:
- Make the cheapest product free
- Apply 50% off to the cheapest product
Best for:
- Buy X Get One Free offers
- Encouraging customers to add another product
- Applying a promotion to the lowest-priced product
Most expensive item discount
Apply a discount to the highest-priced product in the current Bundle.
For example:
- Apply 20% off to the most expensive product
- Make the most expensive product free
Best for:
- Promoting higher-value products
- Higher-value promotions
- Applying an offer to the highest-priced product
Free gift
Free gift is an independent Discount type.
After selecting Free gift, you can configure:
- Whether the rule is based on Quantity or Bundle subtotal
- The qualifying threshold
- The gift products
- The quantity of each gift
For example:
- Add 3 products → Receive product A for free
- Add 5 products → Receive products A and B for free
- Spend $150 → Receive a free gift
This rule does not need to include a percentage or amount discount. The free gift itself can be the main offer.

Free shipping
Free shipping is also an independent Discount type.
After selecting Free shipping, you can configure the required product quantity or Bundle subtotal.
For example:
- Add 3 products → Receive free shipping
- Add 5 products → Receive free shipping
- Spend $100 → Receive free shipping
This rule does not need to include another price discount. Free shipping itself can be the main offer.

4. Required products
Required products is an additional condition for a Discount rule.
It is not a Discount type or a reward.
When Required products is enabled, customers must meet the quantity or Bundle subtotal requirement and add the specified products before the rule can apply.
For example:
- Add 3 products and include product A → Receive 15% off
- Add 5 products and include products A and B → Receive $30 off
- Add 4 products and include a specified product → Receive a free gift
- Add 6 products and include a specified product → Receive free shipping
Best for:
- Promoting specific product combinations
- Creating complementary product offers
- Requiring certain products to be included in a promotion
- Offering different rewards for different product combinations
5. Combine multiple benefits
Free gift and Free shipping can be used as independent Discount types, and they can also be combined with other offers.
The available combination options depend on the selected Discount type.
Examples include:
- Percentage off + Free gift
- Percentage off + Free shipping
- Percentage off + Free gift + Free shipping
- Amount off + Free gift
- Specific price + Free gift
- Free gift + Free shipping
- Free shipping + Free gift
For example, a combined rule could be:
Add 4 products and include a specified product to receive 20% off, a free gift, and free shipping.
Free gift and Free shipping therefore have two possible roles in Buy more save more:
Feature | Can be an independent Discount type | Can be combined with another offer |
|---|---|---|
Free gift | Yes | Yes |
Free shipping | Yes | Yes |
6. Create multiple Buy more save more tiers
Buy more save more can contain multiple Discount rules.
Arrange the rules from the lowest qualifying threshold to the highest.
For example:
Discount rule | Requirement | Discount type | Other benefits |
|---|---|---|---|
Rule 1 | Add 2 products | Percentage off: 10% | None |
Rule 2 | Add 4 products | Percentage off: 15% | Free gift |
Rule 3 | Add 6 products | Percentage off: 20% | Free gift + Free shipping |
You can also create rules that provide rewards without reducing product prices: | |||
Discount rule | Requirement | Discount type | Other benefits |
---- | --- | --- | --- |
Rule 1 | Add 3 products | Free gift | None |
Rule 2 | Add 5 products | Free shipping | Free gift |
This setup encourages customers to add more products to unlock higher discount or reward tiers. |
7. How Single-box and Multi-box work
Single-box and Multi-box do not use Buy more save more Discount rules.
They are configured under:
Discounts → Box size & price
Single-box
Single-box provides one fixed Box.
For example:
- Choose any 4 products
- Fixed price: $199
- Compare-at price: $299
- Free gift: Sample Nail Lamp × 1
Customers must complete the required product selection for the Box before completing the Bundle.
Best for:
- Choose-any-X offers
- Fixed-price Bundles
- Gift sets
- Product packs
Multi-box
Multi-box provides multiple Boxes for customers to choose from.
For example:
- Basic: 3 products for $59
- Standard: 4 products for $119
- Premium: 6 products for $139
Customers first choose a Box and then select the required number of products for the selected Box.
Each Box can have its own:
- Size
- Price
- Compare-at price
- Fixed free gifts
- Gift quantities
Best for:
- Offering multiple Bundle sizes
- Serving customers with different budgets or quantity needs
- Family packs or larger product sets
- Multiple fixed-price options
8. Understanding free gifts
Mix & Match Bundle supports two different free gift experiences:
- Fixed free gifts
- Customer-selected free gifts
Fixed free gifts
A fixed free gift is predefined by the merchant.
When customers qualify, they receive the specified gift and cannot replace it with another product.
The setup location depends on the Bundle type:
Bundle type | Fixed free gift setup |
|---|---|
Buy more save more | Discount rules → Discount type: Free gift, or enable Free gift inside another Discount type |
Single-box / Multi-box | Box size & price → Offer free gift with this box |
Fixed free gifts in Buy more save more
A fixed free gift can be:
- The independent Free gift Discount type
- Combined with Percentage off, Amount off, Specific price, or another available offer
Customers receive the fixed gift after meeting the quantity or Bundle subtotal requirement.
Fixed free gifts in Single-box / Multi-box
The gift is assigned directly to a Box.
Customers receive the gift configured for that Box after completing the required selection for the selected Box.
Different Boxes in a Multi-box Bundle can include different gifts.
Choose how fixed free gifts are added
Use Free gift behavior to decide how the gift is added after customers qualify.
Show Popup
Select:
Show Popup – Let customers know they've received a free gift
When customers qualify for the gift, a popup appears to let them know that they have received a free gift.
After they confirm the popup, the gift is added to the Bundle Summary.
Add Automatically
Select:
Add Automatically – Add the gift silently without a popup
When customers qualify for the gift, no popup appears. The gift is added directly to the Bundle Summary.
Free gift behavior | Popup shown? | How the gift is added |
|---|---|---|
Show Popup | Yes | Added to the Bundle Summary after the customer confirms |
Add Automatically | No | Added directly to the Bundle Summary |
Display fixed gifts directly in two special templates
Single-box and Multi-box each include one special Product page embed template that can display the fixed gifts included with the current Box directly on the Bundle page through the Included products component.
Bundle type | Template | Fixed gift display |
|---|---|---|
Single-box | Fixed Design Set | Included products |
Multi-box | Selectable Design Set | Included products |
Other templates use Free gift behavior to show a popup or add the gift automatically. | ||
In both cases, the gift will appear in the Bundle Summary. | ||
