How to Add Extra Charges to Selected Products in Other Single Box or Multi Box Templates

You can add extra charges to selected products in other uShopAid Single Box or Multi Box templates.
For example, most products can be included in the regular bundle price, while selected premium products add an extra $1, $3, or another amount when chosen.
When using another Single Box or Multi Box template, you need to complete two configurations:

  1. Set the extra charges under Product price adjustments.
  2. Add and configure a Product badge so customers can see which products cost extra.

Using the dedicated premium product template?
The Product badge and premium pricing display are already included in that template. This guide is mainly for merchants using other Single Box or Multi Box templates.

How product price adjustments work

A product price adjustment is added on top of the bundle price.
For example:
Bundle price: $20
Premium product adjustment: +$2
Final bundle price: $22
If customers select multiple premium products, all applicable adjustments are added to the bundle total.

Step 1: Open your Mix & Match Bundle

Open the Mix & Match Bundle you want to edit in the uShopAid editor.
This setup can be used with:
• Single Box templates
• Multi Box templates
You do not need to recreate the bundle or change to another template.

Step 2: Open Product price adjustments

In the left-hand toolbar, click Discounts.
Locate the Product price adjustments section, expand it, and click Set price adjustments.
Discounts → Product price adjustments → Set price adjustments

Open Discounts, expand Product price adjustments, and click Set price adjustments.

Step 3: Select the products that should cost extra

In the Product price adjustments window, click Select product.
Choose the products that should have an additional charge.
Only select products that should cost extra. Standard products included in the regular bundle price do not need to be added here.
Enter the additional amount for each selected product.
For example:
• Premium Product A: +$1
• Premium Product B: +$3
Click Confirm when finished.

Select the products that should cost extra and enter the additional amount for each product.

The configured products and adjustment amounts will now appear under Product price adjustments.
The adjustment is calculated per item.
For example, if a product has a +$1 adjustment and the customer adds two units, the total additional charge will be $2.

Step 4: Add a Product badge

Product price adjustments control the actual pricing calculation.
However, other Single Box and Multi Box templates may not include a visible premium label by default.
To display the additional charge on the product card, go to Products & Layout.
Find the following product card structure:
ProductList → ProductCard → ProductImage
Under ProductImage, click Add element.
Select Product badge.

Under ProductImage, click Add element and select Product badge.

Step 5: Configure the Product badge text

After adding the Product badge, select it in the product card structure.
In the right-hand settings panel, open the General tab.
Under Content, find Badge text.
Replace the existing text with:
Premium + {{adjustment_amount}}
The {{adjustment_amount}} variable automatically displays the extra amount configured for each product.
For example:
• A product with a $1 adjustment displays Premium + $1.00
• A product with a $3 adjustment displays Premium + $3.00
Important:
Adding the Product badge alone is not enough. The Badge text must contain {{adjustment_amount}} to display the configured extra charge.

Set the Badge text to Premium + {{adjustment_amount}} to display the configured additional charge automatically.

Step 6: Choose the badge position

With the Product badge selected, remain in the General tab.
Open the Layout section and find Badge position.
Choose where the premium label should appear on the product image.
For example:
Top left
You can select another position depending on your product images and bundle layout.
Make sure the badge does not cover an important part of the product image.

Choose where the premium badge appears on the product image.

Step 7: Customize the badge style

Open the Styling tab for the Product badge.
You can customize settings such as:
• Font color
• Font size
• Text alignment
• Text style
• Background color
• Spacing
• Border
These settings are optional.
Adjust them according to your store design, product images, and brand style.
Make sure the text and background have enough contrast so customers can easily read the additional charge.

Customize the badge font, background, spacing, and other styles to match your bundle design.

Step 8: Save and preview the bundle

Click Save, then preview the bundle on your storefront.
Check that:
• Standard products do not add an extra charge
• Premium products add the correct amount
• The Product badge appears only on the relevant products
• The badge displays the correct adjustment amount
• Removing a premium product removes its additional charge
• Multiple premium product adjustments are calculated correctly
• The final bundle total is correct
• The badge is clear on both desktop and mobile

Premium products display their additional charges directly on the product cards.

Single Box example

Suppose your Single Box bundle is configured as follows:
• Customers choose 3 products
• Bundle price: $20
• Premium Product A: +$2 per item
If the customer selects two standard products and one Premium Product A, the final price will be:
$20 + $2 = $22
If the customer selects two units of Premium Product A, the final price will be:
$20 + $4 = $24

Multi Box example

Suppose your Multi Box bundle offers:
• Choose 3 products for $20
• Choose 5 products for $30
• Premium Product A: +$2 per item
If the customer selects the 5-product box and includes one Premium Product A, the final price will be:
$30 + $2 = $32
The product price adjustment is added on top of the price of the box selected by the customer.
